Meet Rudy: a
spectacular 8 year old Labrador Retriever, whose owner was evicted and is now
homeless.
Rudy has been with his human since he was a puppy. He is a wonderful, fully socialized Labrador
and the perfect family dog. However,
when Rudy’s human was evicted, he had a hard decision to make: surrender Rudy to a shelter or ask for help.
Taking Rudy to the shelter was not the right option. Not because there is any risk that Rudy would
be euthanized. No human on the planet
could do that to this spectacular companion. Rudy would be adopted in one day. However, surrendering Rudy to the shelter
would mean that he would never be reunited with his human.
Home At Last Sanctuary (HALS) was contacted to provide
assistance. One of HALS’ most important
missions is to keep animals out of shelters. In Rudy’s case, HALS is seeking a safe,
loving, foster home for Rudy for six months to give his human an opportunity to
economically recover and find a new place to live.
In the event of his human not meeting with success, Rudy
will be available to a new forever home.
FOSTERING RUDY
HALS is looking for a foster family that can open their
hearts and home to Rudy until August 4, 2017.
Rudy would live in the foster home as a family member; day-to-day care would
be the foster’s responsibility. HALS would
provide for all veterinary needs through a pre-approved veterinarian. Can you be the family that provides Rudy with
a temporary home?
